The registration process at our Swiss nurseries
At KidsCare, we support you at every stage of your child's crèche registration process. There are a few key steps to help families register with confidence!
In 6 steps :
- Go to our website, and more specifically to the map of our daycares. Select the ones you're interested in (from 1 to 3 crèches).
- Fill in the form that you'll find here, directly on this site, so that we can best process your request based on your needs.
- Visit the crèche to see the premises, the educational team, the pedagogical project and our advantages. This visit can be made remotely on request.
- Confirm your interest and you will receive our final proposal, witt your starting date and days of care. All this is sealed by payment of the processing fee.
- Contract is sent for signature.
- Payment of the first 2 full months of on-call fees in advance to officially reserve your place and finalize your enrolment!
You will then be invited to a meeting, shortly before the contract start date, to organize your child's familiarization period in the daycare center : in other words, the first few weeks of your family's stay with us.
How much does it cost to enroll in a crèche?
A processing fee is charged after the visit if you wish to confirm your interest, so that we can block the place for you until the contract is finalized. The amount of this fee may vary from one daycare to another; it is listed in the rules & regulations (R&R) of each structure, available on their crèche page.
At KidsCare, our daycare are privately owned, but some receive public assistance. The commune or canton of residence may choose to subsidize part or all of the cost of a place.
The fees for our crèches are also indicated in the rules & regulations for each structure, on the last page.
The places where our daycares are subsidized:
-
Cantonal subsidies in Bern and Fribourg for our daycares Kidscare Villars-sur-Glâne, KidsCare EFIB Bern and KidCare Bulle.
-
Communal subsidies for KidsCare Mont-sur-Lausanne (for residents of Le Mont) and for most residents of communes in the canton of Fribourg for the Villars-sur-Glâne and Bulle crèches
Please note that subsidies are awarded at the request of families and the amounts determined by the relevant public bodies. It is the families' responsibility to apply and update their information. However, we'll be there to support you in this process.
How do tax deductions for childcare costs work in Switzerland?
Don't forget that childcare costs are also deductible from your federal taxes, up to a maximum of CHF 25,500. You need to declare them on your annual tax return. In February of each year, we provide you with a certificate of childcare costs for the previous year.
