KidsCare Mies, which has been operating in the region since 2013, offers family childcare for children from the age of 3 months until they start school. The daycare welcomes up to 66 children from Monday to Friday, from 7am to 6.30pm, in a bilingual French-English structure.
Our daycare is open every day of the year, except on official Vaud public holidays and 2 weeks between Christmas and New Year. From an early age, a multicultural team looks after the well-being and health of the children in a space designed to ensure their comfort, and their safetý.
A sustainable education and a pedagogy that encourages autonomy and self-fulfillment from early childhood (Pikler, sign language, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Youp 'la Bouge...) allows each and every one to develop at their own pace.
Two playgrounds, one adjoining our childcare center and a private forest nearby, as well as numerous excursions in the municipality and surrounding area allow children to sample the joys of outdoor activities. Take a tour of our daycare from the comfort of your own home or come and meet us!

Where is the Mies daycare located?

The childcare center KidsCare is located at the entrance of the city of Mies, near the cities of Versoix and Coppet, in the canton of Vaud.
Ideally located on the outskirts of the city center and accessible on foot or by car, our daycare is close to the train station, shops and after-school care.

Who works at the Mies daycare?

An energetic team with a passion for early childhood cares for the health and well-being of young children in a setting designed to ensure their comfort and safety.
The learning pace of each child is respected and supported by our educators in close collaboration with the family. The bilingual French-English environment allows to offer children an open mind from an early age.
All members of the team work together for the well-being of the children in the daycare and the KidsCare childcare network!

What pedagogical methods are used in the Mies daycare?

Our education system and our childcare network are based on several types of pedagogy, all founded on respect for children and their development: Emmi Pikler, sign language, Reggio Emilia, Youp'la Bouge, Celine Alvarez and Montessori.
This is also the case in our other childcare facilities. The youngest children are placed in free motor skills, so they can discover their daycare environment at their own pace and according to their desires. The choice of pedagogical methods is an essential factor in development during the first 1000 days of childhood.
The learning process is not done as it would be for pupils at school, but in a playful spirit, through games and free workshops. This enables children to gain confidence, autonomy, social skills and creativity.
